Do customer knowledge and customer trust in IDIC affect bank customer retention? Evidence from Indonesia

Purpose — The primary focus of this research was to examine the impact customer knowledge and trust in Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (IDIC) on retention bank customers Indonesia.Method study employed a cross-sectional design quantitative survey study. Questionnaires were distributed randomly respondents via social media. 141 from have been analyzed. Hypothesis testing is done by multiple linear regression analysis with structural equation modeling SmartPLS as statistical tool.Result results show that average has sufficient about role, function, task, performance IDIC. However, needs be improved because some do not understand it well. provide empirical evidence IDIC positive influence retention.Contribution There new concept integration two theories will benefit future research. findings contribute addressing gaps inconsistent results. also improving solution COVID-19 pandemic global financial crisis. This supports G20 strengthening safety nets, where multilateral development banks are encouraged strengthen their financing systems face economic challenges.
